Depending on your policy’s out-of-pocket maximum and coinsurance, utilizing substance abuse benefits can make treatment more affordable. What does it mean to be a “luxury” rehab center?
Luxury rehab centers typically offer more comfortable amenities, provide a wider range of services, are located in more secluded areas for added privacy, and have an onsite chef that prepares the food for all residents.

Questions About Addiction Rehab
What is addiction rehab?
Addiction rehab is a clinical and therapeutic approach that works to help individuals modify their thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors so they can live fulfilling lives free from addiction. Rehab centers use specialized therapies and modalities to help clients prepare for reentry into society by breaking their dependence on addictive substances, providing life skills training, and teaching them relapse prevention techniques.
Do I need addiction rehab?
If you are physically or emotionally dependent on an addictive substance such as drugs or alcohol, you may benefit greatly from enrolling in an addiction rehab program. Some other signs that you may need rehab include wanting to quit using drugs or alcohol but being unable, continuing to use even though you know it’s causing problems, losing control over your usage habits, or giving up other activities you enjoy to use drugs or alcohol.
How effective is addiction rehab?
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, rehab programs are very effective in managing addiction. Of course, individual treatment outcomes depend on client participation in treatment, the quality of treatment and related services, and the quality of interaction between the patient and his or her treatment providers.
Will rehab cure my addiction?
Addiction is defined as a chronic disease similar to diabetes or hypertension, so, unfortunately, there is no “cure.” We do not claim to cure addiction, but we can help you rid your life of harmful addictive habits and find freedom in lifelong sobriety. To achieve this, we provide important life skills training, relapse prevention techniques, and recovery support services to help you manage your cravings and maintain your sobriety.
Why is long-term rehab more effective than 30-day treatment?
Long-term rehab provides you with more time to understand and resolve underlying issues, gives you an extended period of time to stay sober in a safe place, decreases your risk of relapse, and provides more opportunities for you to develop a peer support community. Learn more about the benefits of long-term treatment here.
Will I lose my job if I enroll in drug and alcohol rehab?
You cannot legally be fired for enrolling in drug and alcohol rehab. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits employers from discriminating against employees who are suffering from alcoholism or drug addiction, and protects your employment status while you take a leave of absence to complete rehab.
Should I travel to a different city or state for treatment?
The decision to travel for rehab is best left up to you and your family, but there are many benefits to traveling for rehab. Some people prefer to put distance between themselves and their triggers by traveling out of state for rehab. Others find that embarking on a journey to begin their life in recovery gives them a fresh start somewhere new. Being far from home for rehab also reduces the temptation to walk away, and increases the likelihood of completing the program.

Questions About The Extra Mile Experience
